Crater Lake
Oregon's Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States at <hl>1,943 feet</hl>. Formed roughly 7,700 years ago when Mount Mazama collapsed, its water is almost entirely from rainfall and snowmelt — with no rivers flowing in or out.
